Process of bonding technology: surface preparation for different properties of the bonded matter and different conditions. Strictly it can be divided into general methods, chemical methods and physical methods. In the decoration industry, we mainly deal with the sticky objects simply, such as disposal of dust, oil, rough surface, moisture and so on to ensure a clean, dry and oil-free sticky surface.
The glued surface should be evenly coated to ensure infiltration. Avoid bubbles as much as possible. Bubbles reduce the bonding strength, resulting in degumming. Attention should be paid to the position without dislocation, which can not be wrongly moved, and the air should be removed by pressurizing to keep it in close contact.
Curing adhesives make the glue layer become solid through chemical and physical actions. Curing is the last step to obtain adhesive properties, which has great influence on the bonding strength. In the curing process, temperature, pressure and time are the 3 key factors in curing process. Change of each parameter affects directly the bonding strength (Each adhesive has a specific curing temperature and time.). Putting a certain pressure on the curing is necessary for all adhesives(especially silicone adhesive) because pressurization is beneficial to the diffusion and penetration of the adhesive and close contact with the adhesive. And it helps to exhaust gas and water and to avoid the formation of bubbles and pores so as to make the glue layer even and the location of the stick fixed. Whether by chemical reaction or physical action to complete the glue layer curing, it takes certain time. In order to solidify completely to achieve the maximum bonding strength, we must ensure sufficient curing time, (This usually means it needs a certain amount of time to make the adhesive to achieve the ultimate adhesion).
