Step 1: select materials
Choose suitable silicon rubber materials according to the use environment and quality requirements of the products, such as the requirements of wear resistance, oil resistance, acid resistance, alkali resistance, high and low temperature resistance, tensile strength, etc., and decide which material is more reasonable.
Step 2: refining
In many cases, raw materials purchased are only raw glue, which cannot be directly used in production, and need to be processed again, which is called refining. Refining means to add some ingredients of auxiliary molding, such as accelerant and color powder, to meet the production requirements.
Step 3: cut off
After refining, we get a whole piece of material. Then we need to cut the whole piece of material into the material with the same weight, shape and size according to the product structure and size.
Step 4: molding
The most important step after completing the above work is molding. The material cut in the previous step is placed in a silicone rubber mold, and hot-pressed according to the preset process parameters to obtain the desired outer dimensions. Of course, there are also products that are made by injecting materials into the mold cavity directly through the injection molding machine instead of hot molding, which is similar to the principle of syringe.
Step 5: processing/inspection
After forming, we get a whole piece of product. We also need to separate the required part from the middle, remove the raw edge of the product, and check the appearance of the product. At this point, a qualified silicon rubber product has completed its whole process.
